State police report on Schuylkill incidents

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers at Schuylkill County locations.

• A Cressona couple reported that their New York Life Investments account had been hacked and that they lost $35,000. The investigation is ongoing.

• State police at Schuylkill Haven reported troopers are investigating an incident involving an 11-month-old boy.

Troopers said on Sept. 26 they were requested to investigate injuries sustained by the young child. The state police major case team was activated and the investigation is ongoing.

The incident occurred at a residence along Second Street in Port Carbon borough. No other details were released by police.

• On Sept. 20 at 8:29 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2009 Subaru along Route 61 at Sammy’s Mobile Home Park in North Manheim Township. The driver, George Rohrbach, 53, of Pottsville, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DUI.

• A 51-year-old woman from Pottsville reported someone removed a red 196cc mini bike from a property along Ryon Lane in North Manheim Township. The incident was reported on Sept. 2. The bike is valued at $300.

• Troopers are investigating an incident reported on Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. An 11-year-old male from the Pine Grove area reported he was requested to send nude photos of himself to an unknown account user via Instagram.
