A criminal mischief incident that happened at 2:58 p.m. Oct. 1 at 43 Leslie Lane in Penn Forest Township is under investigation by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.
Police said a 16-year-old Albrightsville student caused $3,000 worth of damages.
Police said the Behavioral Health Associates student jumped out of a school bus window when the bus was at a complete stop and began throwing rocks at the driver’s window until it cracked. Police said one of the rocks damaged a passenger’s seat window, after which time the boy threw several rocks at the front windshield, damaging it. The rocks also caused damage to the driver’s side of the bus, as well as paint damage.
Police said the boy was transported to the state police barracks, processed and released to his parents. A juvenile referral form was completed and submitted, police said.
