The Lehighton Interfaith Fellowship will not hold the Life CROP Hunger Walk this year due to the coronavirus.
The fellowship is asking congregations to take a special offering this Sunday in support of the missions of feeding our neighbors near and far.
The funds raised are shared with 25% to the Trinity Pantry in Lehighton and 75% to Church World Services for their ongoing relief and developing programs.
The Trinity Pantry serves the Lehighton Area School District and is one of the satellites of Shepherd House Inc. Carbon County’s Food Distribution Program.
Life has been holding the CROP Hunger Walk since 1992. Starting as 6-mile walk around Lehighton, the walks was moved to the Lehigh Canal in Weissport.
To join us you can send a check made out to CWS/CROP and mail to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, PA 18235-2029. Donate online at cropwalk.org/lehightonpa. For information, call Shirley Radler at 610-377-4278 or shirley.radler@verizon.net.
