A Delaware woman died of injuries she sustained in a motor vehicle crash that occurred in September.

State police at Bethlehem said Satyavathi Ponna, 31, of Newark, died at 6:52 p.m. on Sunday St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill.

She was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a multivehicle crash that occurred at 3:55 p.m. on Sept. 27 along Route 22 eastbound in Bethlehem Township. At the time of the crash troopers said Ponna was trapped in a driver side rear seat of one of the vehicles involved in the crash and had to be freed by emergency personnel. A total of three vehicles were involved in the crash near a construction zone.
