Turnpike closed southbound at Quakertown
The Pennsylvania Turnpike is advising motorists that I-476 will be closed southbound between the Quakertown Interchange, Exit 44, and the Lansdale Interchange, 31, Bucks County, due to a tractor trailer rollover.
A commercial flatbed tractor trailer hauling roofing materials overturned on I-476 at milepost 35. Traffic is currently backlogged at milepost 40.
Motorists travelling from the Lehigh Valley area are being detoured at the Lehigh Valley Interchange, Exit #56, to avoid the traffic backlog approaching the Quakertown Interchange, Exit #44.
Maintenance and emergency crews are at the scene. No life-threatening injuries are being reported.
Suggested Detour:
Take State Route 663 North to U.S. Route 309 South to U.S. Route 202 South to State Route 63 West. Reenter the PA Turnpike at the Lansdale Interchange, Exit #31.
