State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating the theft of $17,300 worth of valuables from the West End Equipment business at 1554 Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.

The theft was reported at 1:24 p.m. Sept. 6. Police said the stolen items include Atlas Copco jackhammers worth $8,200, a Honda EU2000 generator valued at $1,100 and a Bullrider quarter midget car estimated at $8,000.
