One person has died as a result of injuries from a crash on Route 903 near Old Stage Road Tuesday afternoon.

State police at Fern Ridge said Nancy Campbell-Pierro, 78, of Effort died in the crash just before 1 p.m.

The crash occurred as Campbell-Pierro and her passenger, Thomas Crawford, 35, of Blakeslee, were entering Route 903 from a parking lot attempting to turn north.

The other car, operated by Tracy Lynn Forman, 48, of Jim Thorpe, was traveling south on Route 903, and struck the driver's side of Campbell-Pierro's vehicle with its front end.

Crawford was flown to St. Luke's Hospital.

Forman and her two passengers, Krista Forman, 20, and Kayla Forman, 20, both of Jim Thorpe, suffered minor injuries.

State police at Fern Ridge investigated the incident.
