Teen arrested for bomb threat

A Schuylkill County teen has been charged with leaving a bomb threat note at a county school.

State police at Schuylkill Haven has charged Dominick Cassilli, 18, of Frackville, with threat to use weapons of mass destruction and terroristic threats.

According to troopers, about 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 a custodian at the Schuylkill Technology & Training Center South, located in Marlin, Norwegian Township, found a piece of toilet paper inside a third floor bathroom. It had a drawing a building and a bomb on it. Written underneath the drawing of the bomb was the word “bomb”; and written under the drawing of a building was “STC.” When the note was found there were no students in the building.

A state police canine team responded and searched the building with negative results. On Oct. 17, after viewing surveillance and sign out sheets, Cassilli was developed as a suspect and subsequently confessed to writing the note, troopers said.
