Road work this week
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:
No road work for Schuylkill County was reported.
Carbon County
• Jim Thorpe/Lansford: Lentz Trail crack sealing between Broadway and Route 902, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Weatherly/Lausanne: Buck Mountain Road crack sealing between Main Street and Laurytown Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Penn Forest/Kidder Township: Route 903/Highway to Adventure lane restriction with flagging between Harrity Road and Monroe County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
• Bowmanstown/Palmerton: Route 248 POW/MIA Memorial Highway lane restriction with flagging in both directions between Route 209 and Northampton County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Lehigh County
• Upper Macungie Township: Route 22 construction between I-78 and Kuhnsville Exit, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. Lane restrictions in both directions for concrete pavement patching. This work is part of the ongoing Route 22 rehabilitation project.
• Slatington: Main Street inspection between Route 873 and Route 145, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
• South Whitehall: Route 22 shoulder restriction between I-78 and Northampton County line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Monroe County
• Tobyhanna Township: I-80 East pothole patching between Carbon County Line and Exit 284, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
Northampton County
• Northampton: Route 22 line painting between Lehigh County line and New Jersey state line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
• Various municipalities: Route 33 South line painting between Monroe County Line and Route 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday; I-78 litter removal between Exit 75 (to Route 611) and Exit 60 (Route 309), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
• Lehigh Township: Maple Drive pothole patching between Mountain View Drive and Lehigh Drive, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
