State police at the Lehighton barracks responded to a domestic disturbance and charged a man with illegal possession of a firearm and harassment.
Police responded to the incident at 8:39 p.m. May 26 on Jordan Drive in Ross Township.
When they arrived at the home, a woman said she and Scott Kubik, 50, of Saylorsburg, got into a physical altercation. She told police Kubik is a felon and is not supposed to be in possession of a firearm, but said he has firearms in the residence.
Kubik admitted that he had a firearm and shotgun in the home. He was taken into custody and later transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, where he posted bail.
