FIELD HOCKEY

Palisades-Lehighton

Three different players scored as Lehighton came out on top with a 3-2 win over visiting Palisades.

Gabriella Brown, Alicia Shaffer and Addison Chevanna all scored for the Tribe, while goalie Shelby Heater finished with 14 saves.

Abigail Carey and Angeline Day posted the Pirates’ goals.

Lehighton improves to 2-1 on the season.

Northwestern-Palisades

Lauren Housenick scored with 13 seconds remaining to lift Palisades to a 1-0 Colonial League victory over Northwestern.

Naomi Glassberg finished with three saves for the Tigers.

Double overtime was not enough to decide a victor, as Jim Thorpe and Pine Grove tied 1-1 in Schuylkill League action.

Jack Morris scored in the first half for the Olympians before the Cardinals tied it after the intermission.

Jacob Geiser had six saves for the Olympians.
