Mauch Chunk Trust sponsors stock market challenge
Mauch Chunk Trust Company will support local schools in the sponsorship of The Carbon County Stock Market Challenge from the Pennsylvania Council on Financial Literacy.
All public and private schools are invited to participate from Carbon County and the Tamaqua area. The sponsorship will include all third-grade to 12th-grade students for both the fall and spring games. The spring game begins on Feb. 10.
For the spring game, an extra special competition will be held for high and middle school students. These students will represent their schools in a special local and competitive, investment competition. The public and private schools invited to participate are in the areas of Jim Thorpe, Panther Valley, Lehighton, Palmerton, Weatherly and the Tamaqua area.
A celebration luncheon will be hosted by Mauch Chunk Trust on May 12 at Dean Anthony’s Banquet Hall, Jim Thorpe, to honor the schools, teachers and their students.
They will be honored by Mauch Chunk Trust executives along with PennCFL staff.
