Several people were injured Thursday evening in a crash in West Penn Township. The crash occurred at 6:18 p.m. along Route 895 at the entrance to the Pines of West Penn. Police report a sport utility vehicle pulled out onto the path of an eastbound pickup.

Ambulances from Penn Mahoning, New Ringgold and Lehighton paramedics treated the victims at the scene before transporting them to area hospitals and trauma centers. West Penn Fire Company firefighters helped in extricating the victims from the wreckage. West Penn Township police are investigating the incident.
