A Carbon County tavern has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.
Wooby Tavern, located at 533 E. Patterson St., Lansford, has been cited for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a visibly intoxicated patron. The alleged offense occurred Dec. 9, 2017.
This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can imposed a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
