A man from Lansford died after ATV crash in Mahanoy Township this weekend.

John Harrison, 33, of Lansford, died of blunt force trauma, Schuylkill County Coroner David J. Moylan III said. The manner of death is accidental, he said.

Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak pronounced Harrison dead at 12:30 a.m. today. He was dispatched to 184 Brandonville Road, which is property owned by the Mahanoy Water Authority, for the accident.

He said Harrison, who was not wearing a helmet, was the driver of a side by side ATV that rolled over, pinning Harrison underneath. The other rider, whose name he did not provide, was not injured, Szczyglak said.

A toxicology test will be sent to NMS Labs in Willow Grove, he said.

Mahanoy Township Police Chief Brandon Alexander did not return a call for comment.
