A hundred years ago, according to weddingvendors.com, the top female names in 1917 were: Mary, Helen, Dorothy, Margaret, Ruth, Mildred, Anna, Elizabeth, Frances and Virginia.

That year, the top male names were: John, William, James, Robert, Joseph, George, Charles, Edward, Frank and Thomas.
