Mahoning Township police have taken a man into custody who allegedly tried at least twice to remove money from an account that was not his. Police report the individual tried unsuccessfully to remove monies from an account of an individual at the PNC National Bank on South First street, Lehighton. When that failed he traveled to the PNC National Bank in the Carbon Plaza Mall where he tried again. After being refused he reportedly made several threats before leaving the bank walking into the parking lot. He soon was taken into custody by officers of the Mahoning township and Lehighton police departments.
