John Otto was elected president of the Jim Thorpe Municipal Authority during a reorganizational meeting held in the Phoenix Hose Company. He succeeds Raymond E. Beers, who was elected treasurer.

Other officers are Michael Hichok, vice president; James Curran, secretary; and John Huber, assistant secretary-treasurer. Curran was appointed recently to complete the unexpired term of the late Ellsworth Rehrig. The authority retained the services of Attorney Thomas W. Durnin, Jim Thorpe, as solicitor.

Surveyor Melvin Fairchild of Jim Thorpe, gave the board a report on the site of the proposed industrial park along the Lentz Trail, near the site of the reservoir.
