No peace at protest

Dear Times News,

Your prior article about Saturday’s protest in Palmerton mentions that verbal clashes happened, but things remained peaceful. Social media has brought out evidence otherwise.

Although I myself did not attend said protest, I came across multiple videos and pictures of protesters being shoved, signs being knocked out of their hands, hate speech and, worst of all, actual threats to be beaten and killed. It broke my heart. Contrary to popular belief it was not the Black Lives Matter protesters acting as the aggressors, but those on the All Lives Matter side who were instigating violence.

I ask of you to be as factual as possible during these times of online rumors and don’t gloss over fact that these people only wanted to see peace and didn’t get any of it.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Have a nice day.

Sincerely,

Kealey Conville
