Environmental center offers kids’ activities

Are you looking for some fun things to do without leaving the house?

The Carbon County Environmental Education Center has the answer and will host a Kids’ Activity Week through Zoom starting on Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. daily for the week.

Creepy crawlers, birds and reptiles are just some of the nature-related activities that are planned for children ages 5 through 12 to help them explore their world and learn some fun facts about nature.

These packets are interactive and will require the help of an adult and correspond with the activities that will take place each day.

The packets are available at the environmental education center, located along Lentz Trail in Summit Hill, any time between now and week before the program for a $10 donation.

Space is limited and only one packet per family is available at this time.

Families must preregister by calling 570-645-8597 so that they can get the information on how to join.

Parents can also email Jeannie Carl at naturalist_eec@yahoo.com for more information.
