Monroe County residents now have a central location to receive their medical care close to home under one roof in the West End.
Amid much fanfare, a grand opening was held for the new $6 million Pocono Medical Center West End Healthcare Center in Brodheadsville on Thursday.
A standing-room-only crowd gathered to celebrate the new, two-story, 30,000-square-foot building at 120 Burrus Boulevard, off Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.
In addition to doctors' offices, the center will have an urgent care unit.
