Patterson St. involving a gun being fired.Just before he arrived, a Carbon County Communications Center dispatcher told him a second caller had said shots were fired and that two people had been shot. With assisting officers Jeff Ohl and Todd Woodward, Soberick approached Zagata near the front door.He was holding a pillow to his face and appeared to be bleeding profusely from a single gunshot wound to his head.As police cleared the house, a female voice could be heard, calling softly for help from upstairs.Melissa Price was found lying on the bedroom floor. She told police she could move or breathe.Price had been shot multiple times in the torso, including a near the center of her chest."Price asked me not to let her die there on the floor," Soberick wrote in the affidavit. There was a large amount of blood pooled on the bed, and a Kel-tec brand 9 mm pistol was on the floor near the foot of the bed, a spent casing was on the floor near Price's feet. The couple's child, who was playing video game, said he heard them arguing downstairs, then coming upstairs. He heard three gunshots, and his mother calling for help. The child ran to a neighbor's house for help, and told old police he thought he heard another gunshot as he arrived there. The neighbor told police she had heard three "distinct sounds" in a row, describing them as "wood slapping the ground."Then, she heard a fourth. When she went into their bedroom, Zagata was there."How about this?" she quoted him as saying. He pulled the pistol from under the mattress and shot her three times. She called for help, and Zagata told her to shut up.He then called 911 and reported a shooting, and told the dispatcher he had shot himself. He then left the bedroom, bleeding, the pillow to his face.Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 570-645-5844.
