State police at Frackville report on incidents

State police at Frackville reported on the following charges:

• Daniel Leary, 41, of Ashland, was cited for drug possession following an incident that occurred about 7 a.m. on July 1 at the Unity Mart, 305 Centre St., Ashland. Leary was found in possession of a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine. Charges were filed.

• Katherine Aitken, 29, of Pottsville, was cited for drug possession following an incident on July 4 at 11:10 p.m. Troopers conducted a traffic stop along South Altamont Boulevard at Mall Road in Ryan Township. Aitken, the driver, was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana, a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Police said charges will be filed.

• A 27-year-old man from Tamaqua, who troopers declined to identify, is facing charges of criminal/simple trespass for an incident on June 30 about 9 a.m. The man remained on a property along Valley Road in Walker Township, after he received notice from the 86-year-old male victim to leave the property. Charges to be filed.

• A 26-year-old male from Port Carbon, who troopers declined to identify, is facing a drug possession charge for an incident on July 3 a 9:38 p.m. along Wiggan Street in New Philadelphia. Troopers said the incident occurred when the aunt of the suspect called police to report he was sleeping on her back porch. The suspect was taken into custody on an active warrant. While being taken into custody he was found in possession of marijuana. He was transported to the county prison in Pottsville on the warrant. Drug charges will be filed.

• Three people were found trespassing on the property of the Schuylkill County Municipal Authority, Pottsville, and located off Route 61 in New Castle Township. The suspects’ names were not released by troopers but identified as a 27-year-old man from Schuylkill Haven; a 23-year-old man from West Brunswick Township and a 24-year-old male from Auburn. Troopers said the three were charged with criminal mischief for causing an estimated $3,427 to a front steel entry gate to the property.
