A Schuylkill County man was caught in the act of burglarizing a county business, state police at Frackville said.
Troopers reported at 12:14 a.m. on July 1 they were dispatched to the Nordic Tool and Die Company building, located at 75 Main Boulevard, in East Union Township, for a reported burglary in progress.
A neighbor observed a red SUV parked next to the building and noted a male exited the vehicle and used a pallet placed on top of an air conditioning unit to gain access to the roof.
Troopers found a red GMC Envoy parked on the east side of the building. Police saw Gregory Fritsch, 30, of Ringtown, was seen exiting the front door. He was taken into custody. A search of the building revealed the roof entry door was broken into pieces. Multiple bags were outside the roof door. Fritsch had gloves and a screwdriver.
Fritsch was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, possessing instruments of crime and criminal mischief. He was arraigned by on-call District Judge David J. Rossi, of Tremont, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville, unable to post $25,000 bail. Records indicate he has since posted bond and has been released from the prison.
