The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:

Carbon County

• Weatherly and Packer Township: Packer Drive roads closed and detoured with posted detour routes available between Route 93 and Spring Mountain Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Tuesday.

• Kidder Township: Route 940 lane restriction with flagging in both directions between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Monroe County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Packer Township: Brenkman Drive roads closed and detoured with posted detour routes between Route 93 and Spring Mountain Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

• Penn Forest Township: Hatchery Road lane restriction with flagging between Route 903 and Pohopoco Drive, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.

Lehigh County

• Allentown: Interstate 78 median barrier repair between Exit 55 (Route 29) and Exit 57 (Lehigh Street), 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday.

Monroe County

• Stroud Township, I-80 West bridge repair between Exit 299 (Route 715) and Exit 298 (Route 611), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

• Multiple townships: I-80 ramps crack sealing between Exit 302 (Route 611) and Exit 284 (Route 115), 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Thursday.

Schuylkill County

• Butler/Frailey/Foster Townships: I-81 South shoulder work and widening between Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) and Exit 107 (Route 209), 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday.

• Butler/Frailey/Foster Townships: I-81 North shoulder work and widening between Exit 112 (Route 25) and Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road), 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Butler/Frailey/Foster Townships: I-81 South shoulder work and widening between Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) and Exit 112 (Route 25), 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Butler/Frailey/Foster Townships: I-81 North shoulder work and widening between Exit 112 (Route 25) and Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road), 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday.
