IN MEMORIAMS

1

No one knows how much we miss you,
No one knows the bitter pain
We have suffered, since we lost you
Life has never been the same.
In our heart your memory lingers
Sweetly tender, fond and true,
There is not a day, dear mother,
That we do not think of you.

2
Three years have past and gone
Since one we loved so well
Was taken from our home on earth
With Jesus Christ to dwell.
The flowers we placed on her grave
May wither and decay
But the love for her who sleeps beneath
Shall never fade away.

3
Mom’s life is a beautiful memory,
Her death is a silent grief,
She sleeps in God’s beautiful garden,
In sunshine of perfect peace;
We miss her, oh how well,
But realize God knew best,
He let us have her many years,
Then gently bade her rest.

4
When days are dark, friends few,
Grandma dear, we think of you.
Friends are friends if they are true,
We lost our best when we lost you.

5
God knew that she was suffering
That the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed her weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine.”
Away in the beautiful hills of God,
By the valley of rest so fair,
Some day, we know not when,
We will meet our loved one there.

6
Just four years ago today
Since our sad sorrows fell,
But in our hearts we mourn the loss
Of her we loved so well.
The world may change from year to year
And our friends from day to day,
But never shall the one we love
From memory fade away.

7
Loving memories never die
As years roll on and days pass by.
In our hearts a memory is kept
Of the ones we love and will never forget.

8
Within our hearts we always keep
A special place for you,
And try to do our best to live
As you would want us to.
As we loved you, so we miss you,
In our memory you are near;
Loved, remembered, longed, for always
With the passing of each year.

9
His helping hand was always first
To render any aid he could;
His voice was always raised in praise,
His words were wise and good.
Dear father since you’ve gone away,
The ones you loved so true,
Try to carry on the way
We know you’d want us to.

10
It is sad to walk the road alone,
Instead of side by side,
But to all there comes a moment,
When the walls of life divide.
You gave me years of happiness,
Then came sorrow and tears,
But you left me beautiful memories,
I will treasure through the years.

11
One year today our brother was called
To his eternal rest;
Gone where the angels sing so sweet,
And taken when God knew best.
We miss him here so very much,
His presence oft seems nigh,
But we all hope in Heaven to meet
Where no one says good-bye.

12
God took him home, it was His will,
But in our hearts we love him still’
His memory is as dear today
As in the hour he passed away.
We often sit and think of him
When we are all alone,
For memory is the only friend
That grief can call its own.

13
How we miss the welcome footsteps
Of the one we loved so dear;
Oft we listen for his coming,
Fully sure that he is near.
You are gone but not forgotten,
Fresh our love will ever be,
For as long as there is memory,
We will always think of thee.

14
What we would give to see your smile
To sit and talk with you awhile.
We often sit and think of you,
The things you used to say and do.
We often wonder why you had to die,
Without a chance to say goodbye.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone—
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

15
A heart of gold stopped beating
Two smiling eyes at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
That he only takes the best.
They say memories are golden,
Well, maybe this is true.
But we never wanted memories,
We only wanted you.
We miss you so.

A million times we needed you.
A million times we cried.
If love could have saved you,
You never would have died.
If we could have one lifetime wish,
A wish that would come true,
We would pray to God to give us
back yesterday and you.

16
If Roses Grow In Heaven
If roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for us,
Place them in our Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from us.
Tell her We love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
We do it every day,
but there’s an ache within our hearts
that will never go away.

17
Six years have passed since that sad day
When God called you home to stay
As time goes on and we all know it does
My thoughts go back to the way it was
I know you are resting and you’re at peace
But missing and loving you will never cease.

18
Sad and sudden was the call
Of one so dearly loved by all;
A bitter grief, a shock severe
It was a part with one so dear.
We often sit and think of you
And speak of how you died,
To think you could not say goodbye
Before you closed your eyes.
For all of us you did the best,
Oh, God grant you eternal rest.

19
God saw you getting tired,
When the cure was not to be.
So, He clasped His arms around you,
And whispered, “Come to Me.”
God’s garden must be beautiful
For He only takes the best.

Though your smiles are gone forever,
And your hands we cannot touch,
Still we have some memories,
Of the one we loved so much.

Your memories are our keepsakes,
With which we will never part.
God has you in His keeping,
We have you in our Heart.

20
I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard His call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy,
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
As, yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me.
GOD wanted me now;
HE SET ME FREE
