A Carbon County man was cited for an incident in Lehigh County. State police at Foglesville said the incident occurred about 3:23 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, along SR309 in South Whitehall Township.
Troopers said Troy Michael Fairchild Sr., 38, of Nesquehoning, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. At the stop Fairchild fled on foot into a wooded area and attempted to avoid apprehension. Numerous police agencies, including troopers from the Bethlehem barracks and police from South Whitehall Township and Emmaus, assisted in apprehending Fairchild.He was charged with escape and disorderly conduct, troopers said.
