A Carbon County man is facing charges following an incident at a hotel in Lehigh County.

State police at Bethlehem said troopers responded to the Days Inn, at 3400 Airport Road, in Hanover Township, at 8:29 p.m. on June 5, for an assault. Troopers said Jerry Brant, 41, of Jim Thorpe, engaged in a fight with his wife. Police said he punched her multiple times and kicked her, causing numerous injuries, including a large black and blue bruise at her left eye.

Troopers also said he threatened to kill her if she left.

Brant was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. Court records indicate he is presently an inmate in the Lehigh County prison.
