The Nesquehoning Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the bistro room of Maple Shade Meadows Senior Living Center, 50 E. Locust St.

The group will welcome guest presenter, Dave Matsinko, to the meeting.Matsinko will be performing selections from his newest album "Down in a Coal Mine."In addition,Matsinko will also be performing other, more traditional old-time favorites on his mountain dulcimer, banjo and mandolin.Matsinko grew up in Nesquehoning. He started his musical career at age 7 by playing the trumpet and he has been fine-tuning it ever since.He is recently retired after having served for many years as a teacher in the Lehighton Area School District.Light refreshments will also be served. Everyone is invited.
