Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating a sexual assault incident.

Police said about 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, a female juvenile from Long Pond reported she had been sexually assaulted by a male juvenile, also from Long Pond.After an investigation the male was charged with attempted rape of a child and related counts. He was placed in a juvenile detention center pending a Monroe County court hearing.
