A Code Red winter storm warning is in effect from 4 a.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Heavy mixed precipitation is expected, with total snow accumulations of 5 to 11 inches and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch.
This will be a long duration storm with two main periods of winter weather. Conditions on Sunday are expected to consist of a mix of snow, sleet, and ice, with snow accumulations mainly 2 inches or less along with freezing rain. A lull in precipitation is possible Sunday evening. Most of the snow that is forecast is then expected to occur later Sunday night and Monday.

Monday: Snow. High near 35. North wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Monday Night: A chance of snow before 10 p.m., then a chance of snow showers between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 24. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
