Champions of the four playground areas under the jurisdiction of the Lehighton Recreation Commission were crowned during "Playday" held at the Orioles Grove. The champions had the highest amount of points in activities at the playgrounds during the past six weeks. Community Grove champs are John Holland and Jane Holland; Weissport Playground champs are Mark Wehr and Susan Brown, Franklin Heights champions are Tom Serfass and Denise Leickel, and Skyline Park champions are Sandra Hunsicker and Clifford Hunsicker.
