State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 6:42 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, along Dieters Hill Road, in East Penn Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Vincent C. Borzuku, 47, of Lehighton, was driving a 2000 Mazda 626 northbound and approaching Horseshoe Lane, when he tried to avoid striking a deer that had entered the road. The car crashed into a cable guard rail along the south side of the road.Borzuku sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Lehighton ambulance personnel. The car had to be towed from the scene.Troopers said Borzuku was cited for several motor vehicle code violations.
