A Camp Hill infrastructure contractor was awarded a bid Thursday to televise Palmerton Borough’s sewer system.

Borough council chose Utility Services Group’s approximately $86,000 bid among five others. The project, as well as its costs, will be split between this year and the next.

By the end of 2021, the borough’s entire sewer system will be televised, giving them insight into any repairs that might need to be completed.

Also this week, Palmerton Borough posted on its Facebook page that the playground area in the park on Delaware Avenue and the west end recreation area will open back up to the public. Once the yellow tape is removed, playground goers are reminded to maintain social distancing, and for those who are sick to stay away from public areas.
