A look back: June 9, 1986

At the conclusion of the 1985-86 academic year, the Lehigh County Community College trustees approved sweeping measures to reappoint the college faculty, staff and president and further overhaul the organization.

Dr. Robert Barthlow was reappointed president at $55,700 annually and he will oversee organizational changes at the college that include establishment of three administrative divisions - Business Affairs, Academic and Student Affairs and Development and Community Services.

Barthlow explained most colleges are organized along some sort of divisional leadership whereas LCCC relied instead on central leadership from the president’s office.
