The theft of a 1995 Volkswagen from West Main Street in Girardville is under investigation by state police at the Frackville barracks.

The victim is Travis McCormick, 21, of Girardville.He told police someone stole the maroon-colored vehicle and later crashed it on White Street in Shenandoah Borough, before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
