Tamaqua Police reported on the following incidents:
• Police were called to a Center Street residence at 6:02 p.m. Monday for a reported domestic assault in progress. A woman at that address said she was slapped twice by Jaswinder Singh, 30. Officers spoke with Singh, who continued to argue with the woman despite being told repeatedly to stop. He was charged with simple assault, harassment and failure to change his address. He was arraigned before duty District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg, who set bail at $5,000 straight cash. Unable to post bond, Singh was taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
• Ryan M. Daniels, 36, of Pine Street, Tamaqua, was cited for public drunkenness after police were called to the 400 block of Pine Street at 6:25 a.m. on Saturday. Daniels was found on the ground and was initially unresponsive. He refused treatment from ambulance personnel and was taken home by a friend.
• Jacob James Kamant, 26, of Tamaqua, was cited for harassment after a disturbance on Sept. 29. Kamant was at an address on Gay Street at 4 a.m. when he reportedly punched another man in the face. Kamant, who already has an active warrant for his arrest, fled the scene before officers arrived. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 570-668-6100 or 570-668-5000.
