La Dolce Casa in Tamaqua is temporarily closing for precautionary measures.
“We have been notified this morning that members of our staff had possible exposure to an individual testing positive for COVID-19,” said Alfie Picone, Owner of La Dolce Casa.
“We have been very diligent in keeping the restaurant clean and as sanitary as possible, but unfortunately, because of the nature of the virus, no matter how attentive you are, exposure may be inevitable.”
Picone and his staff just want to play it extra safe.
La Dolce Casa will close its doors for 10 days. Across the next week, Picone will have a crew deep clean the entire restaurant, in addition to the daily preventatives La Dolce Casa has already installed to keep its customers and staff safe.
“We feel it’s our social responsibility to our staff, their families and our community to close our doors for the next 10 days, so we can limit the possibility of exposure and the spread to anyone else,” Picone said. “We were being extremely careful. I care for and love everyone; we’re doing this for the safety of the restaurant, the employees and the people. I’m just heartbroken, and we appreciate everyone’s business. In this difficult time we would like everyone to keep us in their prayers. We love you all, god bless.”
