Pauline F. Homm is seeking the Mahoning Township Tax Collector position on the Democratic Party ticket in the May Primary Election. A life-long resident of the township, she also serves as secretary to the Mahoning Municipal Authority and is a local business woman, owning and operating the Normal Square Mini Mart for the past 15 years.

A 1970 graduate of Lehighton High School, the former Pauline Leaser is married to Leon Homm for the past 20 years. She previously worked at The Times News as a bookkeeper for nine years before she decided to go into business. Prior to that, Homm, 60, had worked in several retail clerk positions in Lehighton businesses.If elected, she will offer flexible office hours to be more accessible to residents, and plans to have the tax collector office in the Normal Square Mini Mart. A self-described perfectionist, Homm is well organized and keeps impeccable financial records. She enjoys working with the public, as her previous work experiences indicate. Her work as a bookkeeper and managing her own business has enabled her to develop excellent financial management and organizational skills.Homm is a community oriented person. She has always worked in the community of her residence and has supported local businesses. Being a business woman, she understands the importance of maintaining and trying to create jobs in the local area.Homm has one daughter, Denise (Breidegam) Frey, and resides on Stewart Creek Road where she grew up. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, working outside and helping Denise and her husband Nevin Frey with their farming business, Nev and Nise Produce. She is a member of St. Johns Church in Mahoning Township. She is also a social member of the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club and the American Legion Post 314 in Lehighton. Homm is also an animal lover and has one dog, Nellie, who she adopted from the New Spirit for Aussie rescue organization.
