At least two people were injured Friday afternoon in a rear-end collision on Route 895 in East Penn Township.

The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. just west of the intersection with Berger Creek Road.

It appeared the driver of a late model BMW struck the rear of a late model Ford Mustang.

Two occupants of the Mustang were injured being treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics and transported to a local hospital. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident. Route 895 is closed to traffic.
