'Bruce in the USA' returns to Penn's Peak
Who hasn't heard of Bruce Springsteen?
"The Boss," as he is also known, had such great hits as "Born in the USA" and "Dancing in the Dark."You can hear the hits of Springsteen at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe on Saturday night when Matt Ryan, from the World Famous "Legends In Concert" cast, brings his "Bruce in the USA" show to the venue.Ryan began playing the Springsteen character in 2000, in the Legends "full scale" Las Vegas show. The great success with "Legends" evolved his character into the Bruce In The USA show.The Bruce In The USA Band consists of seasoned world class professional musicians who toured with numerous major acts including Blue Oyster Cult, Meatloaf, Aretha Franklin and The Temptations.Bruce In The USA is much more than just another tribute. This high-energy musical experience is a note-perfect and visually accurate re-creation of a Bruce Springsteen & The E St. Band show.Ryan has brought the Bruce in the USA to Penn's Peak on numerous occasions in the past. Every show has had great attendance, attesting to the top quality show that Ryan puts on.Meanwhile, three new concerts have been annunced for Penn's Peak.They are:• Country singer Dustin Lynch will have a concert at 8 p.m. on March 27.• The Back to the Eighties Show with Jessie's Girl is back at Penn's Peak on April 24.• An acoustic evening with Michael Martin Murphey and Jonathan Edwards will be held on May 1. "What's Forever For" and "Wildfire" are among the hits of Murphey, a country balladeer.Lynch occupies a unique place in today's country music. Thanks to his classic sensibilities, he's been heralded as the heir to George Strait's throne.Yet with one listen to his newest hit, "Where It's At," it's obvious the young Tennesseean knows how to combine his traditional influences with an edgy intensity that places him at the vanguard of today's contemporary country scene.It's that ability to fuse his country roots with a progressive musical vision that makes Lynch one of today's most successful young artists.
