SCRANTON The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that a grand jury in Scranton has charged 10 men and one woman with conspiring to distribute cocaine, cocaine base (crack) and heroin in Monroe County.

According to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith, the indictment alleges that from at least May to July of this year, Joseph Morales, 24, and Humberto Morales-Delgado, 52, both of Pocono Summit; Matthew Morales, 22, Mount Pocono; Myles Davis, 27, Kyme Ashby, 26, Patrick Hynes, 18, and Sherquille Ernest, 21, all of Tobyhanna; Steven Silva-Lugo, 28, Henryville; Andrew Perez, 27, Bronx, New York; Nick Monteforte, 29, Monroe County; and Jayce Bradley, 54, Shawnee on Delaware, conspired to distribute more than half a kilogram of cocaine, more than 280 grams of cocaine base and more than 100 grams of heroin to consumers in multiple locations in and around Monroe County.Eight of the defendants, Joseph Morales, Matthew Morales, Morales-Delgado, Silva-Lugo, Ernest, Ashby, Bradley and Hynes were arrested on July 22, and are in custody. Three remain at large at this time. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Myles Davis, Andrew Perez or Nick Monteforte is asked to contact the Drug Enforcement Administration at 570-496-1020.The investigation was the result of a long-term cooperative effort of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department and the U.S Attorney's Office. Prosecution is assigned to Assistant U.S. Attorney Peter Hobart.The defendants face a minimum term of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life imprisonment and fines of up to $1 million.
