Police were called to the Monroe County Technical Institute Monday morning because of something posted on social media, but police said at no time was there any threat to students.
Pocono Township Police Chief Kent Werkheiser said that posts on social media prompted a police response Monday morning. He said that students were not locked down.
Three students were interviewed about the social media posts, and police concluded that there was no threat to students.
"It was basically kids passing along information that was not substantiated," Werkheiser said.
MCTI officials were unvailable for comment Monday afternoon.
The school is the vocational-technical school for the county, including Pleasant Valley School District.
