The Major Paul Syverson Veterans Sanctuary, which provides support services for area veterans, is asking the public to help locate a beloved dog who went missing on Friday.

The sanctuary, also known as Paul's house, is located along Route 534 in Jonas, Monroe County.

Dora is a black lab, with a slightly overweight build. She works as a companion dog for veterans living at the sanctuary.

She was mistakenly let out of the house on Friday by a new guest at Paul's house. Since that time, she has been seen several times in the Jonas area, including at Trexler Scout Reservation. However each time someone has attempted to approach her, she has run away.
