Flea market
Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), will hold a two-day flea market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the church grove. Food available for purchase including strawberry shortcake. Something for everyone!
Blood drive
In conjunction with the flea market, Jerusalem UCC will host Miller-Keystone Blood Drive from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday in the church parking lot.
Dementia presentation
From 1 to 3 p.m. June 8, Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville, will host a dementia presentation. The program will be held in the church and is open to the public. All are welcome. Your questions will be answered. The presentation will be by Jennie Rose Serfass, business development specialist and certified dementia practitioner from Arden Courts Memory Care Community.
Palmerton library
Learn about volunteer programs and activities at the library. Learn how to complete service hours for National Honor Society, Junior National Honor Society, Leo Club, Scouts and how to volunteer as a family or organization. Volunteer applications will be available. The event will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. June 5 in the Gallery Room. Use the side entrance. Anyone under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature on the application. If any questions call the library at 610-826-3424 for information.
Knitting club
The Knitting Club will meet at the Palmerton Area Library from 6-8 p.m. June 3. The group is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting of all skill levels.
Beach bingo
Free bingo for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. The event is held at the Palmerton Area Library from 6-7:30 p.m. June 14. Call the library at 610-826-3424 to sign up.
Breakfast
Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Parryville Volunteer Fire Company, 359 Main St., Parryville. Platter choices include pancakes, French toast, SOS, eggs, omelets, or popular Fire House Mess. Choice of meats are bacon, ham, sausage or scrapple. Includes home fries, juice and coffee. Large and small platters available. Takeout by calling 610-852-2350.
Summer park concert
It’s that time once more. Summer Concerts in the Palmerton Borough Park. The Palmerton Band will kick off the season on Sunday. Bring a lawn chair. All concerts are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There are no rain dates and the bandstand committee reserves the right to cancel if there is inclement weather. No smoking or vaping is allowed in the park.
