Fire heavily damaged a three-story apartment building in Summit Hill early this morning.
Flames broke out in the structure at 30 West White Street at about 4:30 a.m., causing severe damages to the second and third floors.
There were no injuries.
Officials said a state police fire marshal and the borough police department are investigating the cause of the fire.
Three apartments were in the structure. Nine people are homeless as a result of the blaze.The American Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
Firefighters from several companies in Carbon and Schuylkill County responded.
The flames were contained to the apartment building.
