A graduate of Marian Catholic High School in Hometown, died in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday morning on Route 422 in Lebanon County.

Christopher Perhonitch, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Perhonitch was a former outstanding running back on the Marian Colts’ football teams prior to his graduation in 1997.

Trooper Jacob Kelliher said around 1:49 a.m., Perhonitch was speeding in a Honda CRV when it went onto a grass shoulder and hit a tree.
