The East Stroudsburg University football program recently announced its 2010s All-Decade Team.
Pleasant Valley graduates and former Warrior players Sekou Jones and Jordan Walters were both named to the squad.
Jones, a linebacker, played for ESU from 2014-2017 and earned All-PSAC East Second Team honors in 2015 and 2017. The former Bear finished his career with 221 tackles in 37 games. He registered a career-high 81 tackles in his final season, and also led the Warriors in tackles (73) in 2015.
Walters, a kicker and punter, was a member of the Warriors from 2017-2019. He earned All-America recognition from the AFCA, Associated Press, Football Gazette, D2CCA and D2Football.com in 2019 and also Football Gazette and D2CCA All-Region honors. That same year, he was named All-PSAC East First Team as both a kicker and a punter.
Walters ranks fourth in ESU history among kickers with 192 points. He owns the Warriors’ career record with a .717 field goal percentage and ranks fourth all-time with 33 made field goals. He set an ESU and PSAC record in 2019 with a 56-yard field goal against West Chester. His .842 field goal percentage in 2019 set another ESU single-season mark.
The players were chosen by a panel of current and former coaches, staff members and media members within the ESU community.
Student-athletes must have played for ESU in at least two seasons within the last decade to be eligible for selection.
