A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 2:17 a.m. on Saturday, July 16.

State police at Fern Ridge said Ronald E. Kircher Jr., of Penn Forest Township, was stopped along SR903 in Kidder Township, for unsafe driving. He showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests.He was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.
