NY man admits to fraudulent cards

A New York state resident pleaded guilty in Carbon County court on Thursday to one count of access device fraud.

Maurice Clemmons, 24, of Brooklyn, was stopped by state police at Fern Ridge along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township on April 28. At the stop, troopers found 21 Visa credit cards in the trunk of the vehicle. Four of the cards were fraudulent, troopers said.Judge Joseph J. Matika placed Clemmons on probation for a year and ordered him to render 50 hours of community service, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
